Our EU and Competition team's merger control is one of the most active in Ireland.
We have been involved in around one third of all merger notifications made to the Irish Competition Authority under the mergers regime each year - these included some of the most difficult and high profile deals. We have also been involved in the principal mergers notified to the European Commission which involved an Irish aspect.
We regularly involve Irish and international economists and econometricians in our mergers analysis where we consider that the transaction merits economic or econometric input.
