A&L Goodbody was the first Irish law firm to set up a dedicated China Group practice. This development is specifically designed to facilitate companies from the People's Republic of China (PRC) hoping to do business in Ireland and Europe, as well as assisting Irish companies conducting business in the PRC.
Inward investment into the PRC is growing and our China Group is already actively involved in assisting existing Irish clients with their PRC-related investment transactions. We were also part of Enterprise Ireland's trade mission to China in October 2008.
We have forged extensive links with many PRC trade groups, chambers of commerce, embassies and consulates. We are represented on or involved with many legal and business associations with a presence in China, including the Ireland China Association, the Hong Kong Business Forum, the Industrial Development Authority, Enterprise Ireland and the International Bar Association. Members of our Group have experience of working in legal practice in the Region, in particular Beijing and Hong Kong, and have advised on many aspects of PRC law.
We enjoy strong links with independent PRC law firms with whom we consult on PRC legal matters and interact with on all aspects of Irish and European law. Our experience gives us a comprehensive understanding of the strong culture and ethics that underpin PRC business.
