Environmental and Planning

The Environmental and Planning Law Group provides legal advice to businesses on environmental, planning and health and safety issues. We have been in operation for over fifteen years servicing an established client base which includes pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy, construction, aviation and waste industries, as well as many others.

We deal with all aspects of environmental issues including assessing environmental risk, defending prosecutions, regulatory and compliance issues, environmental due diligence, the preparation and review of environmental warranties, negotiating indemnities and disclosures, and advising on IPPC, waste licences and waste contracts. We advise on all planning issues to include appeals, oral hearings, compulsory purchase orders and judicial review.

We have extensive experience in the defence of environmental, planning, and health and safety criminal prosecutions. We also advise on negligence, nuisance and trespass claims concerning environmental issues such as noise, smell and licence breaches.

We work very closely with our Energy and Natural Resources team on environmental and planning related matters.
