Michael Neill

Michael Neill is based in our Belfast office and is a member of both the Litigation and Restructuring & Insolvency Departments. He specialises in all areas of business recovery work which includes advising local and national insolvency practitioners, banks and directors. He is highly regarded in this practice areas.

Michael also conducts a wide variety of financial services, fraud and insolvency-related litigation.  He acts on behalf of financial institutions including life, property, pension and investment companies.

Michael has acted for companies, creditors and insolvency practitioners in the majority of high profile corporate failures in Northern Ireland in recent years.  He has acted for the Administrators of Norex Hire (Rail) Limited, Reid Transport Limited, Roger Bullivant Ireland Limited, McNeill McManus Glass Limited, D&M Colton Contracts Limited and for the major creditors of Thermomax Ltd (in Administration), DMMI Limited (in Administration) and Nortel (UK) Limited (in Administration).

Michael continues to advise the Administrators of the Taggart Group which is currently the largest administration case in Northern Ireland.   

Michael was also involved in the first successful application to a court in Northern Ireland for the removal of an Administrator from office.
