Marcus Beresford is a Consultant in the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. His practice concentrates on commercial and insurance litigation, product liability, employment law, sports law and judicial reviews. Marcus has extensive experience in multi-national and mass tort cases.
A former chairman of A&L Goodbody, Marcus is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a former winner of the Patrick O’Connor Memorial Prize awarded by the Incorporated Law Society.
Marcus is recommended as a leading lawyer by the top international legal publications including The Legal 2010, Chambers Global 2008, 2009 and 2010, PLC Which Lawyer? 2008 and 2009, Chambers Europe 2008, Who’s Who Legal, 2008 and European Legal Experts 2009. He was "voted the country's top commercial litigator" by Who’s Who Legal, 2006 for commercial litigation.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of Irish Law Reports Monthly as well as the Employment Law Reports and has contributed to a variety of publications in Ireland and abroad on employment law and other topics. Editor of the International Bar Association "Employment and Industrial Relations Law Journal" for six years, Marcus is also a former chairman of the Employment and Industrial Relations Law Committee of the International Bar Association. He is also a Trustee and Chairman of The Alfred Beit Foundation Limited.
