Maireadh Dale is a Partner in the Banking and Financial Services Department, focusing on asset financing, property and project financing, structured financing, corporate banking (including acquisition financing) and regulatory matters.
With particular expertise in international finance and the property, aircraft and shipping sectors, Maireadh advises leading domestic and international corporates, financial institutions, arrangers, investors, lessors, lessees, airlines, manufacturers and property clients on all aspects of corporate lending, restructurings, repossessions, asset, property and structured financing. - Various Irish financial institutions in relation to the transfer of assets to NAMA and on the implications of legislation.
- Two Irish financial institutions on their commercial mortgage backed securitisations.
- Elan on the merger of Elan Drug Technologies with Alkermes Inc.
- Sale by IBRC of its Austrian subsidiary to Valartis Group AG.
- Novelis Inc. in various cross border financings transactions including its US$1.5 billion senior secured term loan and its private placement of US$5.2 billion of high-yield notes in the United States and Canada.
- Syndication Loan to Doosan Infracore Co. Ltd for acquisition of Bobcat business from Ingersoll Rand.
- International Power on the acquisition of the Trinergy group of companies and subsequent cross border mergers.
- Telecity Group plc on its debt facilities.
- IBRC on syndicate facilities to fund the redevelopment of Spencer Dock, Dublin. The Spencer Dock Development is the second largest development financing completed in Ireland.
- Scottish and Southern Energy in relation to the approx. €1.8bn acquisition of Airtricity Holdings.
- On the sale of TV3 to Doughty Hanson.
- RBS Aerospace in relation to the US$1.09bn Airspeed Securitisation of an aircraft lease portfolio. Awarded Most Innovative Deal of the Year 2008 by AirFinance Journal Guide to Aviation Lawyers
- UBS AG and a syndicate of banks in relation to the provision of secured facilities to Avolon Aerospace Leasing.
- ILFC on a secured financing facility with a collateral pool of 43 aircraft.
- Aircraft leasing companies on the establishment of Irish operations.
Maireadh regularly attends the meetings of the Legal Advisory Panel to the Aviation Working Group on the Unidroit Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and has particular expertise in this area. She is also an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
