Mark Thompson

Mark Thompson is Head of the Corporate Department in our Belfast office. He is widely experienced in company/commercial law, with particular sectoral experience in the areas of energy and natural resources, healthcare, media, intellectual property and technology law. Mark’s corporate practice focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and management buyouts and strategic advice.

Recent experience includes advising:

  • Bord Gáis in relation to Seegronan Windfarm Ltd.
  • UTV on its investment in PropertyPal and commercial contracts.
  • 3fivetwo Healthcare on the acquisition of Kingsbridge Private Hospital Ltd.
  • On the merger of two local companies limited by guarantee in the energy sector to create a group with an asset value in excess of £200m including participation in public consultation and negotiation with the Northern Ireland Authority for Utility Regulation.
  • Talksport on intellectual property laws relating to Sport magazine, U-create and "Desperate Scouse Wives".
  • 3fivetwo Healthcare on their investments in Dental Excellence, Origin Fertility Care and other matters.
