Defamation

We have market leading expertise and experience in both managing corporate reputation and taking/defending defamation cases. We are regularly engaged to manage the reputational aspects of a business-critical crisis for Ireland's leading companies. We also actively manage our client's media exposure both pre and post-publication. This can involve injunctive proceedings to prevent publication, liaising with the media outlet to manage content, or seeking redress post publication. Such redress can come in the form of a clarification, apology, complaint to the Press Ombudsman/Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and/or a defamation action. We also have particular expertise in internet defamation and have acted in some of the most high profile internet defamation cases in recent years.
