Marsha Coghlan

Marsha is a partner in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department and in the firm's Restructuring & Insolvency Group. Marsha specialises in the area of general commercial litigation including financial services litigation, litigation involving directors and regulatory investigations. She has advised and acted for directors, insolvency practitioners, secured creditors, companies and banks in a significant number of corporate collapses and restructurings in Ireland in recent years. She also has wide experience in liquidations, receiverships and examinerships as well as advising and working on formal and informal restructurings and reorganisations and she has particular experience in the aviation sector.

  • Allied Irish Banks p.l.c. in relation to restructuring and financial services related Commercial Court litigation.

  • An international aircraft leasing company in its defence of Commercial Court proceedings concerning the Cape Town Convention.
  • The Irish subsidiary of Homebase in its successful restructuring via examinership.
  • The Receiver of the Bloxham partnership.
  • Ulster Bank in Commercial Court litigation relating to a dispute on boundaries and ownership and trust issues.
  • Shareholder disputes and most recently High Court proceedings between shareholders of a company in the energy sector.
  • High Court restriction and disqualification proceedings involving a number of directors.
  • A number of financial institutions in relation to the appointment of receivers and related enforcement and litigation work.
