Barbara is Partner in A&L Goodbody's Litigation and Dispute Resolution team. She represents a large number of high profile clients in both local and multi-jurisdictional disputes and prides herself on her commitment to obtaining commercially advantageous outcomes. Barbara is highly regarded for her ability to deal with complex disputes in the following areas: insurance, land, intellectual property, shareholder & corporate, probate, professional negligence and contractual disputes. Barbara is highly experienced in the various forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Experience

Experience includes advising:  

  • A  significant number of directors and shareholders in a range of complex and often highly contentious corporate disputes to include minority shareholder disputes, derivative actions, disputes concerning share purchase agreements. These often involve a range of interlocutory actions including mareva injunctions and seizing orders. 
  • Numerous property developers and owners of high profile retail parks in a range of High Court actions relating to land and development disputes, often involving applications for injunctions.
  • Various clients in commercial contract disputes. Examples include acting in a recent high value High Court action pertaining to a policy of professional indemnity insurance, a dispute regarding the production of significant machinery for the pharmaceutical industry and a contract relating to the provision of IT services to a Council in England.
