Employment
Our team has decades of experience advising leading multinational pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and medical device companies with a presence in Ireland. We support clients in the life sciences sector on all aspects of employment law, including corporate transactions, outsourcings, large-scale change and restructuring, HR processes, and employment litigation. Our deep sectoral knowledge enables us to guide clients through the complex, regulated, and fast-paced environment in which they operate.
We take a commercial and practical approach to matters including:
- HR processes (whistleblowing, bullying and harassment, grievance and disciplinary investigations, including GMP breaches)
- defending employment litigation before the WRC, Labour Court, Circuit Court, and High Court
- terminations, performance, and absence management
- executive compensation, benefits, and incentives (including pensions and share schemes)
- managing relationships with EWCs, employee representative bodies, and trade unions, and advising on industrial action and union recognition
- employment aspects of outsourcings and corporate transactions, including TUPE transfers
- enforcing restrictive covenants and protecting intellectual property and confidential information
- project managing large-scale change and restructuring (redundancies, reorganisations, harmonisations)
We are known for our collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues in pensions, share schemes, data protection, and white-collar crime to provide clients with comprehensive, expert support.
