A&L Goodbody Website Accessibility Statement
A&L Goodbody (ALG) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. Our ongoing commitment reflects the importance in providing an accessible and user-friendly online journey for all people.
Compliance status
This website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. We are working with our website developers to regularly review and improve the accessibility of our digital content. Through ongoing testing and auditing, we may identify areas, modules, or templates requiring further improvement.
Preparation for this Accessibility statement
A formal quality assurance process was carried out by our web developers, through the ALG website’s design process and with a combination of automated and manual accessibility audits, and the edits that derived from them, for the development process.
A continuous quality assurance process is carried out quarterly using technology to identify automated issues on algoodbody.com. Once automated issues are resolved, items flagged as “needs review” are manually verified, followed by manual accessibility testing. At the time of this statement the latest score was 94.78%.
Some content on the ALG website does not fully comply with the WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
Non-accessible content | Description of improvements (in progress) | Expected Remediation Date |
ARIA | We are working to ensure that all interactive elements, such as buttons, links, and menu items, have accessible names and attributes. This helps assistive technologies, like screen readers, to interpret and interact with our content correctly. | October 2025 |
Colour Contrast | We are adjusting the contrast between text and background colours across the site to meet accessibility standards. This will make content easier to read for everyone, especially for people with visual impairments. | October 2025 |
Language Declaration | We are ensuring every page on our website includes a language attribute. This helps screen readers to pronounce the content correctly for our users. | October 2025 |
Link Text | We are reviewing all links to ensure they have clear and descriptive text. This helps users understand the purpose of a link and where it will take them without needing to rely on surrounding context. | October 2025 |
Sensory and Visual Cues | We are making sure that interactive elements, such as buttons, are large enough and have sufficient spacing. This makes them easier to select, particularly on touch-screen devices. | October 2025 |
Text Alternatives | We are providing titles for all pages and accessible names for all embedded content (such as frames). This helps users to navigate the website and understand the content and structure of each page. | October 2025 |
