Our pro bono programme
We provide pro bono legal advice to all our community partners. We work in partnership with domestic and international “clearing houses”, including the Public Interest Law Alliance, Business in the Community and Thomson Reuters Trustlaw Foundation. They match our expertise with specific legal needs in non-governmental organisations, community organisations and law centres.
In 2016, A&L Goodbody delivered over 2,800 pro bono hours to various charity partners and not for profit organisations, including; Irish Refugee Council, Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, Oxfam Ireland, Ashoka Ireland, Suas, Debra Ireland, the Coeliac Society of Ireland and Inner City Enterprises.
Diversity & Inclusion
At A&L Goodbody, Diversity & Inclusion is about respecting, valuing and leveraging the differences that exist in our employee base and the domestic and international markets in which we do business.
Mutual respect and collaboration amongst our collegaues is key to the culture of our firm and we are committed to ensuring that that everyone is treated with respect, fairness and integrity.
Every one of our employees bring a set of special talents and perspectives to the table. We celebrate diverse thinking by creating a culture where all of our people are encouraged to draw upon their unique backgrounds, interests and viewpoints.
This diverse and inclusive approach benefits our people and our clients and therefore our business. As the diversity of our client base continues to grow it is imperative that we have a diverse and inclusive workforce to reflect that client basis. Different options, perspectives and cultures are powerful in international business
Step Up Community Programme
We have a strong tradition of collaborating with and supporting the communities in which we work. Step Up, our community based programme, gives everyone at A&L Goodbody an opportunity to make a difference in the local community we work in. Programmes are implemented through pro bono work, volunteering and funding.
