Tax
Our market leading team has the expertise and knowledge to advise life sciences companies on all aspects of Irish taxation. Our experience includes advising some of the world’s leading life sciences companies on high-value acquisitions, corporate restructurings, contentious tax disputes, transfer pricing and indirect tax issues.
Our tax advisory work with life science companies has included advising on big-ticket M&A transactions, redomiciliations to Ireland, tax planning and restructuring work.
A significant part of our practice is in the area of contentious tax and tax disputes. We represent life sciences clients in all phases of tax disputes and have acted on some of the most high-profile tax disputes in the Irish market.
We have significant experience in the area of transfer pricing. This ranges from supply chain planning to engagement with the transfer pricing branch of the Irish Competent Authority (in connection with both MAP and APA matters).
Our team also has considerable experience dealing with indirect tax matters. We provide advice on the efficient structuring of supply chains for VAT purposes. We also regularly advise clients in relation to contentious indirect tax issues.
Our tax group is actively involved, through various industry bodies, in the development of Ireland’s tax policy and implementation of OECD and EU initiatives relating to tax. We have also actively participated in governmental consultation processes, which have led to changes in Ireland’s tax laws.
