CCPC Market Study into the Public Liability Insurance Sector

Following a ministerial request from the Minister for Business, Enterprise, and Innovation, Heather Humphreys TD, the CCPC has commenced a market study into the public liability insurance sector in Ireland. Once the terms of reference have been finalised, the CCPC will undertake an extensive process of engagement with all relevant stakeholders.

Appointments of new Chief Information Officer & new Director of Insurance Supervision

The CBI has announced the appointment of Louise Dennehy as the new Chief Information Officer and Domhnall Cullinan as new Director of Insurance Supervision, both with effect from 1 September 2019.

EIOPA publishes monthly technical information

EIOPA published technical information on the symmetric adjustment of the equity capital charge, and relevant risk free interest rate term structures, for Solvency II purposes; with reference to the end of July 2019 in both cases.
