ALG attend Calcutta Run cheque presentation to the Peter McVerry Trust and the Hope Foundation

On Wednesday 13 November ALG was delighted to attend the Calcutta Run 2019 cheque presentation to the Peter McVerry Trust and the Hope Foundation.

This year the event raised €300,000 with over 1,400 people participating in the Calcutta Run events in Dublin, Cork, Kolkata and New York. More than 150 ALG employees were involved in the event, raising €20,958.84 between sponsorship, fundraising and the firm's contribution. To date, the Calcutta Run has raised an incredible €4.3m since it began 21 years ago and is now the most successful corporate fundraiser in Ireland. This funding has allowed both the Peter McVerry Trust and the Hope Foundation to carry out life changing work to people in both Ireland and Kolkata who are experiencing homelessness.
