The Lawyer names ALG ‘Irish law firm of the year 2020’

A&L Goodbody has been named Irish Law Firm of the Year by the prestigious international magazine, The Lawyer. In a virtual awards ceremony held this week which celebrated Europe's leading law firms, ALG was singled out by the judges for our "consistent strategy for maximising international opportunities". The judges also noted our "wide focus on people that stood out from their peers" and that we had a "keen eye on sustainability and social impact".

The awards scheme attracted entries from over 120 independent law firms headquartered in Europe and global firms across the continent. It was particularaly competitive this year, with a record-breaking amount of submissions from in-house counsel and law firms making the shortlist.

This is the fourth time in seven years that The Lawyer has named ALG as Irish Law Firm of the Year, including winning the coveted European Law Firm of the Year award in 2015. This award closely follows similar recognition by Who's Who Legal, which also named ALG as Irish Law Firm of the Year.
