Tom Casey is a partner in ALG's Disputes & Investigations group.
Tom acts for a wide range of international and domestic commercial clients across a spectrum of contentious issues. While Tom advises clients on different forms and forums of contentious activity, including ADR and sectoral investigations, Tom’s significant experience is in leading complex, high value Court disputes, often with a multi-jurisdictional dimension.

Tom has acted in several leading Irish cases establishing the law in respect of registration of title, exercise of rights against neighbouring owners of real estate and the circumstances when direct relief can be sought from the High Court in landlord and tenant disputes.

- The Joint Liquidators of GTLK Europe on its insurance claims before the Irish and English Courts in respect of a fleet of stranded aircraft valued at $2.4bn
- A pillar Irish bank on a dispute in relation to the deferred and contingent consideration payable to the vendors following its acquisition of a leading Irish brokerage (value circa €50m)
- A pillar Irish bank on its investigation by the Central Bank of Ireland on the withdrawal of tracker mortgage interest rates and the defence of follow-on litigation by impacted customers (circa 80 claims)
- MAN Trucks on defending circa 60 sets of High Court proceedings relating to alleged cartel activity by EU truck manufacturers
- A PE fund on a challenge by a founder to his removal and appropriation of shares from a high value energy charging business
- A global search and rescue firm on issues relating to the transition arrangements following a successful tender for a 10-year, €800m government contract
- A private developer of a major Dublin city centre scheme in obtaining the first “Works Order” from The District Court in a commercial property application
- CBRE on the defence of a circa €30m legacy claim relating to a valuation of commercial premises
