Regulatory Enforcement Round Up
Regulatory Enforcement Round Up

Join A&L Goodbody’s Regulatory Investigations Group for our in‑person annual Regulatory Enforcement Round Up 2026, taking place on Tuesday 24 March in The Round Room, Mansion House.

This year we are delighted to be joined by Francesca Harte, Joint Head of Enforcement Investigations at the Central Bank to discuss the key enforcement and intrusive supervisory priorities of the Central Bank and how the regulator’s enforcement work is relevant more broadly to firms’ engagements with the Central Bank.

You will also hear from our regulatory experts across Financial Regulation, Banking, Insurance, Investment Funds, Payments, Fintech and Investment Services for practical discussions on how to manage regulatory enforcement risk and where regulatory risk may lie in your business over the coming year. We are also delighted to welcome guest international insights.

We are particularly excited that speakers include all four partners in our expanded Financial Regulatory Advisory Group, who work seamlessly with ALG’s Regulatory Investigations Group, providing deep insights across all markets for financial services firms.

This conference will qualify for 2.5 hours General CPD with the Law Society of Ireland.

Navigating multiple regulators for financial services firms

Regulatory breaches often involve multiple frameworks or regulators or multiple jurisdictions. Cooperation and interaction between regulators can be fundamental to your response to an issue. How should financial services firms prepare for parallel investigations or inquiries when a material breach is identified?

  • How do you manage engagements with the Central Bank alongside other regulators (such as the Data Protection Commission or criminal law enforcement agencies)?
  • What do you need to consider when engaging with regulators across different jurisdictions; are we seeing more or less cooperation?
  • How do you engage with different fora overseeing the same issue e.g. the Central Bank and the Financial Services & Pensions Ombudsman?
  • What further complexities does the Individual Accountability Framework bring?
