Give yourself enough time to complete your application. Don’t leave it until the last minute where you can be rushed and make mistakes. Take time to read over your application and have someone review it for you.

Keep your language formal. Make sure to check your grammar and spell check your application thoroughly. Make sure your answers are clear and concise.

Make sure you have given your answers consideration and that they are well thought out. Provide examples to support your answers. Make sure to tell us as much about yourself as you can so we get a sense of who you are!

Demonstrate that you know what a corporate law firm is and why you want to become a corporate lawyer. Try to demonstrate that you are aware of the latest news and current affairs.

Tell us about a time when you challenged yourself out of your comfort zone. Demonstrate resilience and provide us with examples.
Assessment tips
  • After the initial application process you will receive a link via email to complete our online assessment (be sure to check your junk / spam folder if it doesn't arrive in your inbox).
  • Read the introduction and examples before you get started. At this stage, we want to know what makes you tick. You won’t need any work experience to be able to answer the questions. Just answer naturally, so we can get the best idea of what you’re really like.
  • You are given practice questions before the real test starts. Take advantage of these to make sure you understand what you have to do in the assessment. Often, you can re-read the instructions and redo the practice questions multiple times.
  • Ensure you have no distractions as the assessments require your full attention.
  • If you have a disability, please flag this with us before commencing the assessment as an adapted assessment can be provided.
