Does the EU Securitisation Regulation have any impact on UCITS and AIFs?

Answer

The Securitisation Regulation (Regulation 2017/2402) (the Regulation) will be directly applicable across the EU from 1 January 2019. It will impact UCITS management companies, AIFMs, internally-managed UCITS and AIFs and certain other types of investor (collectively, Institutional Investors) that engage in certain transactions.
