Irish merger control 2023 review and 2024 preview.

ALG's EU, Competition & Procurement team have published its long form report on merger control by Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for 2023. 

The report highlights key statistics and trends in Irish merger control in 2023 and looks at anticipated developments in 2024. At a glance, 2023 was a busy year for Irish merger control, with a total of 68 notifications being made to the CCPC. The report also assesses merger control by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in Northern Ireland in 2023.
