A&L Goodbody named Irish Law Firm of the Year 2023 in European awards

A&L Goodbody LLP (ALG) has been named Irish Law Firm of the Year 2023 by prestigious international magazine, The Lawyer. The Lawyer European Awards 2023 ceremony was held in London celebrating Europe’s leading law firms.

In winning the Irish Law Firm of the Year, ALG was shortlisted for awards in four categories – Best Pro Bono Initiative for its work with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, Best Transformation Initiative for the establishment of ALG Solutions, Best Client Service Initiative for its client On Board platform and Best European Finance Team for advising NatWest on the closure of Ulster Bank in Ireland (which received a ‘Commendation’).

On receiving the award, David Widger, ALG Managing Partner, said: “I was so proud to receive this award on behalf of everyone at ALG. The award is for them. We have brilliant people who do amazing things for our clients and for each other. To be recognised for our client service and pro bono work reflects our culture of working together to do the best for our clients and continuously improve our business.”
