A&L Goodbody powers up corporate Ireland with return as title sponsor of the 2026 ALG5K

Corporate Ireland is being called back to the start line as A&L Goodbody confirms its return as title sponsor of the 2026 ALG5K Corporate Team Challenge, taking place in Dublin City Centre on Tuesday 8 September 2026.
Delivered in partnership with Athletics Ireland, the ALG5K has become a standout fixture in the corporate calendar - championing the power of an active workforce while bringing thousands of professionals together for an evening of energy, connection and healthy competition.
Following the sell-out success of the 2025 event, the 2026 ALG5K returns bigger, bolder and more engaging than ever - inviting businesses to step away from their desks, build stronger team connections and invest in employee wellbeing through a fun, inclusive evening of city-centre running.
Where business meets wellbeing
The ALG5K is more than just a run - it’s a celebration of what happens when organisations prioritise movement, morale and meaningful connection. From seasoned runners to first-time participants, the event welcomes corporate teams, family teams, sports clubs and individual entrants, all united by a shared goal: moving together.
Teams of four compete across male, female and mixed categories, with accurate chip timing ensuring every effort counts. Individual runners are also welcome, with results contributing to the overall competition.
David Gillick joins as 2026 ALG5K ambassador
The 2026 event will be led by returning ambassador David Gillick, two-time European indoor champion and Olympian, who will inspire participants to embrace the benefits of physical activity - both inside and outside the workplace.
“The ALG5K is a brilliant example of how businesses can promote health, teamwork and balance in a really positive way,” said Gillick. “It’s about switching off from the desk, reconnecting with colleagues and enjoying the buzz of achieving something together. Whether you’re chasing a PB or just crossing the line, this event is for everyone.”
What you can expect in 2026
- Early bird team entry: €110 + booking fee for a team of four (including T-shirts), available until Sunday 17 May.
- New ALG5K tech t-shirts: High-performance, sublimated designs combining comfort, style and sustainability.
