ALG achieves prestigious Investors in Diversity Gold Mark

A&L Goodbody LLP (ALG) has been awarded the Investors in Diversity Gold Mark by the Irish Centre for Diversity. Investors in Diversity is Ireland’s leading D&I accreditation and ALG is one of only 35 organisations in Ireland to achieve Gold.
Achieving the Gold Mark involved a detailed assessment of our D&I policies, procedures and work practices. The assessors looked at how D&I is embedded in every aspect of our business, our culture and in how we externally influence diversity and inclusion through engagement with our suppliers, clients and industry partners. The Investors in Diversity programme recognises ALG’s commitment to embedding fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement (FREDIE).
Gold accreditation by the Irish Centre for Diversity follows ALG also being named Company of the Year 2025 at the National D&I Awards and winning Chambers Europe Outstanding DEI Award 2025, which is an all-Europe award including the UK.
Our D&I strategy, which aimes to embed diversity and inclusive into everything we do, is approved and supported by our leadership team and implemented by our five employee resource groups:
- DARE Committee – our gender equality programme
- OneALG Committee – our LGBTQ+ employee group
- Cultural Diversity Committee
- Social Mobility Committee
- Accessibility Committee
Commenting on the award, David Widger, Managing Partner, said: “We are so proud to have achieved the Gold Mark. It not only reflects the importance we place on D&I in every aspect of our business, but also the fantastic work that everyone does in embedding and bringing to life our D&I strategy. It’s our people who strive to make ALG a truly inclusive workplace, where we can come to work and achieve our career goals regardless of gender, sexual identity, cultural or social background, or physical and neuro ability. A huge thank you to everyone in ALG who helped us achieve this prestigious accreditation.”
