ALG’s Belfast office announces new two-year charity partnership with Northern Ireland Hospice.
ALG’s Belfast office has announced a new two-year charity partnership with Northern Ireland Hospice (NI Hospice).
NI Hospice is the only service of its kind in Northern Ireland providing specialist palliative care for both children and adults with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses. The hospice’s services include specialist nursing care at home, supported short breaks at the In-Patient Unit, end-of-life care and family and bereavement support.
Michael Neill, Head of the Belfast Office, explained how the firm’s 140-strong team will support the charity through the partnership, noting that “while engaging in the usual mix of creative fundraising activities, our people will also have the chance to make a real difference by dedicating their time volunteering and their legal expertise on a pro bono basis to support the vital work of the NI Hospice.”
Clare Johnston, Corporate Relationship Manager at NI Hospice, said: “A huge and heartfelt thanks to our partner A&L Goodbody. Their generous support for NI Hospice over this two-year partnership will enable us to continue providing our specialist palliative care for children and adults with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses. We are excited to partner with a well-known and prestigious legal firm, such as A&L Goodbody, and look forward to exploring opportunities to work together over the coming months.”
Investing in its responsible business strategy through partnerships of this nature is central to ALG’s culture, confirmed Michael Neill, “ALG has always been committed to investing in the passions and interests of our employees and clients – be that in sport, the arts or charitable and community endeavours,” he said.
“Through our responsible business programme, we have been proud to partner with several charities and social enterprises working across Northern Ireland – including the Welcome Organisation, Business in the Community NI, Arts & Business NI, Aspiring Solicitors, Inspire and Simon Community NI. We very much look forward to working with NI Hospice in this latest partnership.”
