Progress on Irish gambling law reform ramping up
Minister of State in the Department of Justice, James Browne, updated the cabinet this week on progress on the reform of Ireland's gambling laws. According to the Minister, "good progress has been made on driving this long sought reform on gambling regulation" to include the establishment of a gambling regulator before the end of 2021. This publication looks at recent comments made by Minister Browne to Cabinet and in the media as to what the regulators office might look like and the objective of any future legislation.
