Jeff Greene is a partner in A&L Goodbody's Employment Law group and is a highly experienced solicitor practising in the areas of employment law, employment equality law and industrial relations law.  He is skilled in both non-contentious and contentious work and has years of experience advising a variety of clients on Employment Law matters ranging from corporate transactions and restructurings to day-to-day employment advisory work and litigation.

Jeff spends a great deal of his time advising on the employment law aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, outsourcings, tenders, and the restructuring of organisations. He is particularly experienced and knowledgeable in the area of TUPE.

Jeff advises daily on a wide variety of Employment Law matters, including recruitment, terms and conditions of employment, protection of confidential information, employment policies and procedures, disciplinary and grievance issues, performance management, restructuring, executive remuneration, termination of employment (including performance, disability and redundancy) and related settlements.

While Jeff is very experienced in assisting clients with the resolution of contentious matters without litigation, he has also represented clients before all the employment law forums and courts in Ireland and is skilled in such matters when litigation is required.

  • Having acted for a large semiconductor company on the Irish employment law issues relating to its award-winning purchase of an Irish technology company, Jeff has continued to act in relation to a variety of issues including employment contracts, gender pay gap, disciplinary issues, employee illness, policies and procedures, employee exits, and more.
  • Advising one pro bono client on the TUPE consequences of taking over a public/private services contract, and advised a not-for-profit educational body on its partnership with a local business for work outplacement services.
