Calcutta Run
A&L Goodbody (ALG) and the Law Society of Ireland are very proud to have established the Calcutta Run in 1999. Since 1999 the Calcutta Run has raised approximately €5.6m in support of homelessness services in Ireland and Kolkata (formerly Calcutta). On average, ALG raises €20,000 annually with over 140 people from ALG involved in the event.
Festive fundraising
During the festive period, we engage in a number of fundraising initiatives and events to support the following charities:
- The ALG Choir Christmas Concert in aid of Depaul Ireland
- Festive bake sale in aid of St. Joseph’s Co-ed Primary School, East Wall, Dublin 1
- Toy appeal for:
- IFSC Inner City Trust
- St Vincent De Paul
- One Family
- Jesuit Refugee Service
Fundraising in our A&L Goodbody Northern Ireland LLP office
Our charity partner is Northern Ireland Hospice (NI Hospice). NI Hospice offers specialist respite, symptom management, and end of life palliative care to 4,000 infants, children, and adults each year across Northern Ireland. ALG support NI Hospice's vital work through provision of pro bono legal assistance, fundraising initiatives, volunteering, and annual funding.
Matched funding
To support employees individual fundraising and volunteering interests, ALG provides a fund that employees can apply for that contributes to funds that they have raised personally.
