Your first step towards a career in corporate law

A&L Goodbody’s Summer Internship Programme is a four-week paid internship designed to give students hands-on exposure to life in a leading Irish corporate law firm. Over June or July, you’ll work within one of our core practice areas – Commercial Property, Corporate & M&A, Disputes & Investigations, ESG, Finance, Pensions, Pro Bono, or Tax – and contribute to real client work from day one.

Paid internship

A four-week paid law internship that takes place in June or July in our Dublin office. Open to students from all degree backgrounds.

Accommodation support

Free accommodation for interns that require it in order to participate in the programme. The accommodation is within easy commuting distance of the office.

Career progression

All interns receive a guaranteed interview for our Trainee Solicitor Programme.

Hands-on legal experience

Build professional and legal skills through workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training.
What will I learn?

As an intern, you’ll join a legal team and work directly with a partner, associate, and a trainee buddy who will support you throughout the programme. You will:

  • Develop legal and professional skills through on-the-job learning
  • Gain exposure to the work of a trainee solicitor
  • Receive guidance and feedback from experienced legal professionals
  • Have opportunities to ask questions, build confidence and explore a future career in corporate law

At the end of the programme, you’ll also have the opportunity to interview for our Trainee Solicitor Programme.

Who can apply?

The programme is open to students from all degree disciplines who have completed at least one year of study, as well as graduates and postgraduates.

Free accommodation is available for interns who require it to participate in the programme. The accommodation is located within easy commuting distance of our Dublin office.
