Commission for Regulation of Utilities publishes ECP-2 Decision
The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) published its ECP-2 Decision on 10 June 2020. The ECP-2 Decision represents the next stage in the CRU’s enduring connection policy published in March 2018, which was the first step in a fundamental redesign of Irish grid connection policy. The ECP-2 Decision will be relevant to all developers of onshore renewable and conventional generation projects who are seeking connection offers for their projects in the next three years.
Our Energy, Infrastructure and Natural Resources team summarise the key features of the ECP-2 Decision including batch scheduling, volume of offers, prioritisation of applications, key eligibility requirements and the proposed capacity release mechanism for pre ECP-1 projects.
