Data centres shaping our electricity future
On 8 March 2021, EirGrid and the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications launched a nationwide consultation report on the future of Ireland’s electricity system (the Consultation Report).
In this publication we outline the proposal for data centres in the Consultation Report and how this ties in with EirGrid's wider connection policy and Ireland's Climate Action Plan.
