ESMA promotes clarity in sustainability-related communications

On 1 July 2025, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) published a thematic note on the use of sustainability-related claims in non-regulatory communications.

ESMA publishes its feedback statement on the revision of the disclosure framework for private securitisation under Article 7 of the Securitisation Regulation

On 17 July 2025, ESMA published its feedback statement on the revision of the disclosure framework for private securitisation under Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2017/2402 laying down a general framework for securitisation (Securitisation Regulation).

The feedback statement shows that most respondents favour simplifying the disclosure framework, however few respondents favoured the relevant technical standards. ESMA does not intend to move to the next stage until there is sufficient clarity on level 1 changes to the Securitisation Regulation.
