Our deeply experienced Employment team advises clients on each of these topics, ensuring our clients make adequate provision and space for protected disclosures and whistleblowing, as appropriate.
Our lawyer also advise on gender pay gap reporting, the health, safety and wellbeing of employees, and other workforce-related obligations. It goes without saying that employers must ensure fair pay and safe working conditions for employees, including those working from home or away from their usual office or work location. Employer responsibilities concerning their staff extend much further, however. They must ensure their people are safe at work, included and consulted as appropriate, and empowered to speak up when there is a problem. Employers must be ready and equipped to consult and collaborate with employee representative bodies as well as individual employees, for example.
From an ESG perspective, it’s also critical to assess employee engagement. We work with clients to ensure workplace engagement initiatives are set up to be compliant and measurable as well as inclusive and welcoming.
