Alison Fanagan is a consultant in A&L Goodbody's Litigation department and a former partner of the firm, with over 28 years' experience. She is joint Head of the Environmental and Planning group, and provides specialist advice on all aspects of planning, environmental and health and safety law both contentious and non-contentious. Alison is also an experienced commercial litigator, with a particular focus on judicial review. Alison advises on the defence of criminal prosecutions, on taking and defending claims for negligence and nuisance, and on all aspects of planning injunctions. She advises buyers, sellers and funders on due diligence and has a particular expertise in renewable energy projects including both onshore and offshore wind.

Alison is a member of the Environmental Law Association, the Health and Safety Lawyers Association of Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She lectures regularly on planning, environmental and health and safety topics at conferences, the Law Society of Ireland, the Kings Inns and at University College Corks annual Environmental Conference. She has had many articles published.
