Nick Bennett is a senior associate in A&L Goodbody’s Employment and Immigration group in Belfast. He advises employers, HR teams and international businesses on the full range of UK business immigration matters, with a particular focus on helping organisations navigate the complexities of cross‑border recruitment and workforce mobility.

Nick supports clients with sponsor licence applications, ongoing compliance and strategic management of their sponsored workforce. He regularly conducts right to work audits, prepares clients for Home Office inspections and provides practical, commercially focused guidance on maintaining robust immigration governance. He also advises on Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes, as well as family, settlement and nationality applications.

In addition to his advisory practice, Nick works closely with employers on the immigration implications of corporate transactions, including due diligence, TUPE‑related considerations and post‑completion compliance planning. Nick also supports employers with day-to-day workplace matters, as well as employment aspects of corporate transactions and corporate due diligence.

Nick delivers tailored training to HR professionals and leadership teams and contributes to seminars and industry events on emerging immigration trends, compliance risks and best practice in managing an internationally mobile workforce
