Solicitor - Construction

The team

A&L Goodbody's Construction team works on Ireland's largest and most complex construction projects. We advise on project origination and financing, mid-stream construction issues, and dispute resolution. We are known for being technically excellent, collaborative, and solution-focused in our work. On contentious matters we help clients resolve disputes successfully by early intervention, and through mediation, conciliation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation. On transactions and non-contentious matters we take a commercial and pragmatic approach to negotiation and service delivery.

Our team is the largest dedicated construction team in the market and we pride ourselves on being a high performing, cohesive and supportive team that is dedicated to continuous professional development. Our clients include developers, contractors, funders, institutional investors and procuring authorities involved in some of the largest and most high-profile projects in the State. We advise on projects across a diverse range of sectors including property development, housing, transport, utilities, telecommunications, and PPP. We also advise on joint-ventures, acquisitions (forward sales and forward funding), and M&A transactions in these sectors.

The role - background and experience

We are looking for ambitious solicitors who have a real interest in growing their career within the construction-law sector. They should be self-motivated, driven, have strong and demonstrated technical competencies, and excellent interpersonal skills. We ask all team members to bring enthusiasm, resilience, and ambition in finding solutions to clients' legal challenges and requirements.

Other key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (in Ireland or another Common Law jurisdiction), or the holder of a Barrister-at-Law degree
• 1 -3 year qualified
