Real Estate Disputes

Our team of lawyers have advised on some of the most high profile, complex real estate transactions and disputes in Ireland in recent years. This gives us an unrivalled team in the market with the experience and expertise required to work through challenging property related issues for domestic and international clients.

Working closely with our property and other advisory teams we advise on contentious and other risk issues at all stages of a real estate project, from forward funding agreements through to termination of leases. We act for some leading global and Irish landlords, developers, funders, tenants and agents across a broad spectrum of real estate assets including commercial office developments, mixed use schemes, large PRS, data centres, industrial, shopping centres and hotel and other leisure facilities.

Due to the nature of the Irish property legislation, our clients rely upon our legal expertise and experience to help them achieve outcomes in different Courts, including:

  • securing the first Works Order in the District Court for a major commercial redevelopment
  • clarifying the law on tenant statutory rights in the Circuit Court and High Court
  • clarifying a registration of title point of systemic importance in a case stated in the Court of Appeal
  • a leading Supreme Court judgment on the Constitutionality of legislation relating to upwards only rent reviews
