Offshore Wind - ORESS and Grid Connection Consultations open
On 11 October 2021 the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications and the Commission for Regulation of Utilities simultaneously published two important (and interrelated) consultations on the first proposed offshore wind subsidy scheme and offshore grid connection policy. These consultations come at a critical phase in the Irish offshore wind sector and are an important step in driving Ireland’s ambition to deliver 5GW of offshore wind projects by 2030.
