Independent Directors of Irish Continental Group on €1.2bn MBO

ALG is sole legal adviser to the Independent Directors of Irish Continental Group, plc (ICG) on a recommended cash offer of €1.2bn from ICG’s senior management team. ICG is the leading Irish-based maritime transport group. Its activities include the transport of passengers, cars and Roll on Roll off (RoRo) freight under the Irish Ferries brand, on routes between each of Ireland, Britain and Continental Europe. ICG also provides Container Lift on Lift off (LoLo) freight services on routes between Ireland and Continental Europe under the Eucon brand. 
 
ALG’s team was led by Corporate and M&A partner Alan Casey and senior associate Randal Stewart with support from Edel Daly and Gráinne Roche. The team also included Ronan Lyons, Charlie Carroll, Dr Vincent Power SC, Keavy Ryan, Rosaleen Boyle, Enda Hurley, Niamh McMahon, Deirdre Griffin and Aidan Coll.
