Karen Killalea is a partner in A&L Goodbody's Employment Group with over twenty years of employment law and dispute resolution experience. Karen has a diverse practice across many industries including financial services, life sciences, pharma, retail, technology, construction and food, drink & agri. Karen advises Boards and businesses regarding sensitive and critical senior people management matters. She also advises on people strategy matters and industrial relations. Karen regularly advises employers in high profile and high value employment disputes.
Karen is experienced across all HR related matters including substantial restructuring, data and privacy issues, fitness and probity, dismissals, grievances, occupational stress claims, trade union recognition campaigns, strikes and other industrial action as well as the resolution of other employment related disputes including in relation to working time, remuneration and pensions. Karen has extensive experience advising employers on springboard injunctions and the defence of injunction proceedings. Given the depth of her experience, Karen handles the advocacy in many of her Workplace Relations Commission cases.

Karen lectures in the Law Society of Ireland on the Employment Law Diploma course and the Professional Practice Course. Karen is a fluent Italian speaker.
